Mapera is seeking a talented, proactive, and detail-oriented Senior Software Engineer to join our growing technology team in Bangkok.
Mapera is a technology company focused on Local SEO and Google Business Profile management, and is the sister company of GVN Marketing, an established digital marketing agency based in Bangkok.
This position is directly with Mapera and will focus on architecting, developing, and scaling the Mapera platform, while leading a small, high-performing engineering team and driving AI-augmented engineering practices.

Role Impact & Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer at Mapera, you will play a key role in designing, architecting, and scaling our proprietary Local SEO and Google Business Profile management platform.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be the core technical decision-maker responsible for foundational system design, selecting optimal stack configurations, and implementing scalable integrations with Google Maps and Google Business Profile APIs.
You will also lead and mentor a small engineering team, establish AI-driven and agentic development workflows, and implement process automation to transform product concepts into a robust, scalable, enterprise-grade platform.

Main Responsibilities
- Architect: Design and establish the core system architecture, data models, and technical foundations of the Mapera platform.
- Lead a Small Team: Supervise, mentor, and guide a small engineering team, fostering technical growth, conducting code reviews, and managing sprint execution.
- Architect AI & Agentic Workflows: Implement agentic software development workflows, leverage AI coding environments, and create developer productivity automation to multiply team output.
- Drive Process & System Automation: Build robust end-to-end automations, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, background job processing, and data pipeline automation.
- Develop & Integrate AI Capabilities: Drive full-stack development and evaluate and integrate LLM APIs and AI tools for automated analysis, report generation, and optimization.
- Integrate Google APIs: Implement and optimize integrations with Google Business Profile APIs, Google Maps APIs, and performance-tracking metrics.
- Build Scalable Services: Develop Node.js-based backend architectures using Express, Next.js, or Nuxt.js, paired with modern frontend frameworks such as React or Vue.js and SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Configure Cloud Infrastructure: Set up, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS or GCP.
- Collaborate & Report: Report directly to the CEO, providing clear progress updates, technical roadmap alignment, and architectural recommendations.
Qualifications
- Experience: At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience in full-stack web application development and system architecture.
- Technical & Tool Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Node.js backend frameworks such as Express.js, Next.js, or Nuxt.js.
- Hands-on expertise with modern frontend frameworks such as React or Vue.js.
- Solid experience with relational SQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Experience deploying and managing cloud applications on AWS or GCP.
- Direct hands-on experience integrating third-party REST APIs, specifically Google APIs such as Google Business Profile API, Google Maps API, and OAuth/token management.
- AI & Agentic Programming Skills: Proven experience using AI coding tools, agentic development workflows, and prompt engineering to accelerate development and support system architecture.
- Automation Expertise: Demonstrated track record of creating end-to-end automation, including CI/CD, automated testing, task runners, and data-processing pipelines.
- Leadership & Team Management: Proven experience or strong aptitude for leading, mentoring, and coordinating a small team of software developers.
- Language Proficiency: Exceptional communication and writing skills in both Thai and English, spoken and written.
- Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of RESTful API architecture, cloud infrastructure, database design, Local SEO metrics, and security/token management.
- Mindset & Soft Skills: High technical ownership, proactive leadership mindset, strong communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to drive greenfield projects from concept to launch.
- Eligibility: Open to Thai nationals and qualified applicants based in Bangkok or ready to relocate to Bangkok.
